As others have stated you can use DATAQ s , I have been doing this and
ran into one small problem. Any time an entry goes into the RDY state a
DATAQ reocord is created and reamains there until to retrieve it , even
if the associated spool file entry is removed . If you have a process that
reads the dataq and subsequently does something with the spool file you
could run into a problem if the spool file has been deleted. Thus you
should take this into consideration when writing a program to process the
outq .

Here is an interesting question (for me at least). Is there a way to
monitor
the OUTQ to see if one or more spool files are in there and then kick off
my
program that will process it?
