Hi guys, Here's some more info: The 4050 has had the IPDS chip removed, I believe it was hooked up as a CA printer before, or maybe twinax? They stole the IPDS chip to be used somewhere else and set it up on the network. And, it's on a Jetdirect box, I believe. As I said, it's in a remote branch and I can't get to it directly. I've been "playing" around with the lpi and cpi on the Ovrprtf and I just haven't been able to come up with a consistent combination, so far. Jim, I'd really appreciate that WCST...thanks. I've been able, in the past, to avoid messing with a WCST. With all these network-attached printers we're being bombarded with, looks like I need to develop a new "skill". We just attached this printer to the network as a network printer and one user prints some 9x11 reports which just won't line up right. I've tried changing the printer file in all the ways I can think of and I just can't get it to work consistently. All of us have seen it, first page runs over and then you'll get a combination of blank pages and real short pages. Another problem is that it's a remote location, so I can't run back and forth from the desk to the printer to use the "try this, try that" method. If anyone has some perls of wisdom, please share ----------------------------------------------- Thanks for all your tips and advice.
