Very good points, especially about a) always newer and better, b) not buying on long term growth. Another reason to lease. Instead of overbuying a machine, which will be obsolete before you use that extra capacity, get just what you need (and maybe some short term growth). And trade up when you need more. Does announcement date = availability date? Classic example from WWII. France had a fairly good antitank weapon. But didn't put it into production because another one was almost ready. Evidently not in time, because the German tanks rolled all over their a$$.
