Not after the 400 came out, when the 400 came out. If you use
QSYS38/SBMJOB it works as a S/38 did - INLLIBL(*JOBD) instead of
INLLIBL(*CURRENT)

Actually, the default on the S/38 used to be *JOBD; at some point after
the
AS/400 came out, IBM changed the default to *CURRENT.
