I just want to ask is this a true statement? We do not have the SQL Toolkit we are on V5R1 and have not used many triggers on the DB files. One thing that struck me as odd is the statement that RPG could not handle the date and time data types or null values. "I am asking this question because the old Load Schedule used system triggers that I wrote in RPG to autoincrement primary keys. I tried the same technique for the J2EE version of the Load Schedule, but it does not work because the new tables use date and time data types (so that it is easier to work with Java) and because of null values." Also, what is the prefered method for writing triggers? RPG, SQL
