to store all of our OS customisations...

This is where reasonable security saves my butt.  By using a *USER user
profile all the time, I can't accidentally change these values when I think
of it.  Instead, I'm forced to go to the CL program which adopts greater
authority in order to run.

In 15 years I haven't lost a change (sysval, printer file *NOMAX, etc.)
