Did you specify PAUSE(*NO) on the STRPCCMD command?

Subject: PC programs from AS/400

Hello,

Is there a way of running a pc program without using STRPCO and STRPCCMD?

I am trying to send .txt files into a HL7 message. I have to convert the
Word document into a text document, which is copied into a file on the 400
and formated into my HL7 message. Currently I am using the STRPCO command
and the STRPCCMD to call the VB program that converts the .doc to the .txt.
My problem is that once the VB program is completed the CL program is just
sitting there with no focus and waiting for the screen to change. Is there
a better way of doing this? Our clients use both Client Access and Client
Access Express on Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, 2000 and XP. We currently
compile our programs for V4R4M0.
