Jeff,

I filter all of my messages based on the From, using
the email address midrange-listname-admin@midrange.com.
As you can see below all of the e-mail show a "From:" of:

midrange-listname-admin@midrange.com on Behalf of Who Ever
[whoever@whereever.com]

Maybe that's something with Outlook?? But the filtering
works very well for all of my discussion groups.

Becky

Subject: Format of these messages

I have message filters set up to automatically move received messages
into various subfolders, a separate one for each mailing list. Whenever
I get messages from Anne Lucas, they are never filtered, they stay in
the main inbox folder. Her message 'headers' look like this:

> Subject: chat questions
> Date: Thu, 2 May 2002 13:15:04 -0500
> From: "Anne Lucas" <alucas@us.ibm.com>
> Reply-To: midrange-nontech@midrange.com

While most other sender's messages look like this:

> Subject: RE: SMTP client and http/https downloads
> Date: Thu, 2 May 2002 13:58:22 -0400
> From: "Carl Galgano" <cgalgano2@ediconsulting.com>
> Reply-To: midrange-l@midrange.com
> Organization: EDI Consulting Services, Inc.
> To: <midrange-l@midrange.com>

Note that Anne's have no "To:" line. My filters are based on the "To:"
line. I could use "Reply-To:" for filtering but I use Communicator 4.79
which does not have the option to filter based on "Reply-To:"

Is this something with the list itself? Or the email client Anne uses?
Any suggestions?
