The only problem with that is when someone emails you privately with
something they copied from the list, and include that in their post, your
filter will trigger.

Also, for some reason, I have received messages from the list that do not
have the list trailer section.  I'll keep an eye on that and post my results
when something comes in.  I seem to recall that these messages do not come
as plain ascii.

Finally, I wonder if searching the whole body of every list email won't
impact your email client's performance.
