Are they both inside your local network boundaries? There are security issues here. 1. Start the rexec server on the remote machine and use RUNRMTCMD in *IP mode. Problem is that anyone with an rexec client (Unix, etc.) can execute something on the remote. So you really need to set up exit points for this, unless you can guarantee that connections are secure. 2. SBMRMTCMD uses a DDM file to make the connection. This file can be *IP type. Seems one of these stops after one failure - the other can keep trying. Don't remember which.
