I seem to recall that, once upon a time (S/38 days) I was taught that
IBM had stated that they would never start messages with the letter U;
therefore any message of the Uxx9999 pattern (such as these UML ones)
would be safe from name clashes with IBM's messages.  I never understood
the point of this, because any sane application would have its messages
in its own message file.  But there you go.
