Several "other" systems I have conversed icf on the 400 side, and
were either unix or win on the other side, read each byte from the
modem buffer. Don't quite understand it, but that is how they explained it,
so they insisted I send no blanks after the last good character of data, and
therefore it had to be varlen send.
I may specify 512 on the "read", but they aren't sending 512, they are
sending
variable length based on the data. OS400 just puts it in by 512 byte field.
I think Tim's problem might be that the bank is expecting to be "read" for
an ack after
each send from the 400, and they are bufferring it all into the final read.
