Less overhead, and IMO, the nicest benefit is being able to configure the
thing using the Telnet interface.

Thanks,

I have a Perle 494e controller connected to our company ethernet network.
The controller is used to connect 6 devices (5 displays and 1 printer).
The Perle controller is configures to use SNA protocal. I have been asked
to look at converting the controller to use TCPIP protocol.

My question is: what benefits will there be if I convert the controller to
use TCPIP protocal.
