Since taking the Nestea plunge into Panel Groups, we have come across an interesting scenario. It seems the full screen help (i.e. when the user is not positioned overfield sensitive help)applies to all the formats within a displayfile. One of our staff discovered that screen level help found in the header covers all formats, and we needed a 'format level help'. We came up with the following scenario, and it works, but looks susceptible to future releases and/or maintenance nightmares. ..header area A HLPTITLE('STW020R HELP') A HLPPNLGRP(STW02000 STW020PG) ..record format for SFLCTL A R STW020C1 SFLCTL(STW020S1) * FIELD HELP A H HLPPNLGRP(STW02010 STW020PG) A HLPARA(*CNST 100) ...deeper in the SFLCTL record A 1 60'1' A DSPATR(ND) A HLPID(100) For some reason, the hidden field acts as full screen help for the SFLCTL screen. My question is why, and will this method be stable into the future? Looking for the proverbial crystal ball once again. TIA, Dan Rasch - because if the human species concentrated on the really important things in life, there would be a shortage of fishing poles!
