We have been using the sndemail program to send emails from our RPG
programs for over a year now. Since last Friday our smtp servr has been
soaking up all of the CPU. We stop the *smtp server, let everything clear up
and return to "normal" and then restart the *smtp server. It goes well for a
while until a program runs that uses the sndemail and then it seems to throw
the system into a tizzy again. If I look at active jobs for QSYSWRK there is
the four smtp jobs running that should be plus four others.

QTSMTPBRCL QTCP BCH .0 DEQW *
QTSMTPBRSR QTCP BCH 9.7 RUN *
QTSMTPCLTD QTCP BCH .2 DEQW *
QTSMTPCLTP QTCP PJ 1.7 SELW ????
QTSMTPCLTP QTCP PJ 2.1 SELW ????
QTSMTPSRVD QTCP BCH .2 SELW *
QTSMTPSRVP QTCP PJ 9.0 RUN ????
QTSMTPSRVP QTCP PJ 10.9 RUN ????

If I keep re-freshing active jobs I see these smtp jobs using a bunch of
the cpu. Does anyone know what may be happening or why? What we can do?
