Different message.

CPI099C is send if QSTGLOWACN is set to *MSG.  CPI099B is send if
QSTGLOWACN is set to *CRITMSG.  Exactly which message did you get?  Your
message (most likely) was triggered from reaching the ASP threshold set in
SST.  The above messages are only send when a particular amount of storage
is reached in the System ASP only.

Al,

             Thanks for your help.  We found our problem - programmer error
in CL
program.  But while I have your attention on this matter - I checked the
system value QSTGLOWLMT on our system and it is set to 5%.  The help screen
says that when this limit is reached, the message will be sent.  Yet the
message we received was sent when we hit 90%.  What am I missing?

I think that the loss of QPRINT and reaching 90% was a coincidence.

There is an ASP threshold, which is set (as a default) at 90%.  When you
hit that point, certain communications jobs halt.  The newer system value
QSTGLOWLMT is set (as a default) at 95% (or 5% left), and it invokes the
action specified by QSTGLOWACN.

Hello all,

             We are on a 170 running OS V4.5 and are in the process of
purchasing/adding more disk to our system.  Late yesterday we reached the
Auxiliary storage lower limit of 90% and received message CPF0907-serious
storage condition exists.  The system value QSTGLOWACN is set to *MSG which
is why the message was triggered.  At approximately the same time we
started
to experience jobs blowing up and found out we had lost our main print file
QPRINT.  Could we have lost our print file when we reached the threshold
value of 90%?  Is there any other action that takes place when reaching
this
limit?
