Hello Paul, There is a product as such in the market. VISUAL Message Center will allow freezing any interactive user's session in case of errors and notify operators allowing them to reply to the message remotely. In the same integrated graphical interface you will also be able to monitor all messages and events in iSeries and Windows servers. You can find more details on VISUAL Message Center in our web: - Overview on VISUAL Message Center: http://www.tango04.com/products/vmc/index.php - Details on the iSeries Interactive Agent: http://www.tango04.com/products/vmc/interactiveagent.php >From this web you will also be able to download a trial version of the product. He had some frustrating experiences today with users answering messages on some interactive programs ( you know, answering with a C ). This happened 4 times with the same user before the problem was reported. By then, they were almost in a shut down and restore from backup situation. He asked if there is a way to prevent a user from responding to an interactive message. Any thoughts? And no, I didn't write his software. :-)) Paul Nelson Braxton-Reed, Inc. 630-327-8665 Cell 708-923-7354 Home pnelson@braxton-reed.com -- _______________________________________________ This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/cgi-bin/listinfo/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@midrange.com Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
