*This message was transferred with a trial version of CommuniGate(tm) Pro* This is almost certainly Ops Nav connections. Could the user at 170.60.90.107 be using Operations Navigator. A single option in Ops Nav can and will open many sockets connections to the iSeries system. This quite a normal situation. You can also get these connections when signing on to CA/400 Syd Nicholson Castlehill Computer Services. oliver.wenzel@cibavision.novartis.com wrote: >every now and then I see a strange bunch of connections on my netstat >(option 3) screen: > > > Ferne Ferner Lokaler Leerlauf- > Opt Adresse Port Port zeit Status > 170.60.90.107 2275 as-svrmap 000:00:16 Wartezeit > 170.60.90.107 2277 as-svrmap 000:00:15 Wartezeit > 170.60.90.107 2278 as-signon 000:00:15 Wartezeit > 170.60.90.107 2279 as-svrmap 000:00:14 Wartezeit > 170.60.90.107 2281 as-svrmap 000:00:13 Wartezeit > 170.60.90.107 2282 as-signon 000:00:12 Wartezeit > 170.60.90.107 2283 as-svrmap 000:00:11 Wartezeit > 170.60.90.107 2285 as-svrmap 000:00:09 Wartezeit > 170.60.90.107 2286 as-signon 000:00:09 Wartezeit > 170.60.90.107 2287 as-svrmap 000:00:08 Wartezeit > 170.60.90.107 2289 as-svrmap 000:00:07 Wartezeit > 170.60.90.107 2290 as-signon 000:00:07 Wartezeit > > >There are 3 or 4 more screens of this sh*t.
