Jim,

I remember something about this from one of our clients who used the ASCII
controller for remote customers to dial in for inquiry. The emulation we had
to use was 3164, although there were a few others that worked, like the
3151. There was a company that sold a 3164 emulator package. I did a quick
web search and found Productivity Systems, Inc. at www.psi3164.com I'm
pretty sure these were the guys we used all those years ago. When the modems
connected, you hit Enter twice, and then the sign-on screen came up.

Can't help on the cabling though. Years of therapy (and quite a few Long
Island Iced Teas) have removed all traces of IBM-proprietary ASCII cabling
pin-outs from my memory ;-).
