This is a response to Chuck Moorehead's question. In my experience, there was very limited use of IPDS printing done on the /36, a fair amount of barcode printing however. I have a similar situation in my operation, and found it best to reserve the intelligence of printing to some very sophisticated printers like Genicom, where the image output from the spool file simply overlays a template designed for the laser printer. If you point a finger in their direction, I think they may have a solution. IPDS took flight, as far as I'm aware, on the /400 OS., and there are several excellent articles, even within the last few months on that exact topic. That's really of no help to your friend however; if their client remains on the M36 guest machine. Ken Shields Oshawa systems group Works 81, Oshawa Ontario (905) 725-1144 Ext 326
