These days JDA has a big focus on n-tier NT/Unix/Oracle solutions. At one
time their claim to fame was an AS/400-based merchandising system, which
they have redeveloped on "open systems". They also went out shopping for a
portfolio of complementary products, largely on NT/Unix/Oracle.

E3 could have a big future on the iSeries, or JDA could be the next Lawson.
Ask a lot of hard questions about their commitment to the platform if you
look at E3.

The company I work for is a large wholesaler chain on the east coast and we
use E3 which is owned by JDA I believe now. No issues, works good on an 820.
Buyers seem to like it.
