Hi all Has anyone tried to retrieve the status of a channel or an MQ listener using RPG to check whether it is running or inactive ? I have examined the manuals and can't find anything that relates to retrieving the attributes of a channel or listener, although I can get attributes of message queues, queue managers etc. (well not from RPG anyway - is there an equivalent C function ?) I haven't yet had a look at retrieving the listener status using a NETSTAT type API but I guess that's the next step if there is nothing in MQ to retrieve the listener status. I also had a look at running a file contain DISLAY CHSTATUS commands through the RUNMQMCS command and outputting to file and then parsing it, but I would really prefer not to do this unless I have to. This doesn't seem to retrieve the status of inactive channels anyway.... I am trying to get attributes of various MQ components so I can automate the checking procedure and right now I can't find a way to easily get the listener or channel status. If someone can point me at the appropriate API(s) I would really appreciate it as I am not looking forward to going back to copying spool files and reading them.... Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated regards Evan Harris
