This is a multipart message in MIME format. -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] Obviously by the 'FETCH FIRST 20 ROWS ONLY' I am running V5R1. Is there a method to do what I am trying to do below - list the top 20 into a file? Using the Order by clause in a subselect is not allowed. Insert into dirbig (SELECT IFSLDIR,IFSLOBJ,IFSLSIZ,CURRENT DATE FROM IFSLIST ORDER BY IFSLSIZ DESC FETCH FIRST 20 ROWS ONLY) Now I am thinking that I will be stuck with a cursor loop. I guess in the past the order by was only a minor frustration. But now with this fetch first it's getting to be more of a PITA.
