I can't say that I've seen EDTF before; I just tried it and edited a comment
into a CL-source & saved it ok. I guess it could be useful to make minor
code changes, but I wouldn't want to develop new programs in it - no cmd
prompting.

Did you look to see if EDTF resides in QSYS?
I thought this was a *nix port and not related
to PDM.
