Hi list! Help! I am trying to change an existing overlay and have to be missing something somewhere. No matter what I do my old overlay continues to print. I have the AFP print driver installed and have created the physical file (UPLOAD) on the AS/400. I print my modified word document to my AFP printer (as file Barb.OVL), copied my new overlay file to my shared folder (FORMS in QDLS), copy it to the AS/400 via the CPYFRMPCD command (with a *replace) and recreate the overlay (also with Replace *yes). Every time I run my report the old overlay prints. I tried deleting and recreating the “UPLOAD” file and the old overlay, but no matter what I do the old one is coming back to haunt me. I also noticed the following message in my job log when I create the new overlay and just for fun deleted all the old PRCHECK *OVL files out of QRPLOBJ. Replaced object PRCHECKS type *OVL was added to QRPLOBJ. Message . . . . : Replaced object PRCHECKS type *OVL was added to QRPLOBJ. Cause . . . . . : Replaced object PRCHECKS type *OVL from library BARBLIB was renamed to Q265EA3D40 and added to the library QRPLOBJ. Object Q265EA3D40 is a valid system object. Recovery . . . : If this object is needed, you can move the object (MOVOBJ command) from library QRPLOBJ into another library. Library QRPLOBJ is cleared when an initial program load (IPL) of the system is done. No matter what I do the old overlay prints! It’s lurking out there somewhere, help me make it go away! TIA!
