Yepp.. you are correct. V3r6 was the very first "hardware only" release. The first "real" risc OS was V4 on the 600, although v3r6 was what got shipped on the 400/500 very early on. The 9406-600 came exactly one year later... I don't recall any of my customers having to actually pay for V4R1....
