RTVCFGSTS with return the status of a device.  Based on it's status, you can
take the appropriate action.

Much easier that parsing the wrkcfgsts spool file which can (and will)
change in a future release.

Kevin, you can write a CL to do the following command then copy the
spoolfile to say a data area or file and extract the status to find out if
it is varied on the that particular LPAR.
