I'm trying to use the SAV command to save the contents of a drive share
(DALLAS_D) located on a NT Server 4.0 machine (DALLAS). The share is
defined on the NT Server, not in Ops Nav. I can navigate thru the
directories using the WRKLNK (so I know the user id and passwords match).
When I try the SAV command, I get errors (listed below). I have 2
questions (listed at the bottom).
Here's the CL code to do the save:
pgm
cd dir('/')
cd dir('qntc')
cd dir('dallas')
cd dir('dallas_d') /* shared name of entire
'd:' drive */
sav dev('/qsys.lib/tap04.devd') savact(*sync) endopt(*leave)
monmsg msgid(cpf3837 cpf3823)
Here's the joblog listing:

/QNTC/DALLAS/DALLAS_D/RECYCLER to be saved or restored.
Recovery . . . : If you are saving or restoring the entire system, no
recovery is necessary.
Otherwise, do one of the following and try the request again:
-- If /QNTC/DALLAS/DALLAS_D/Acct is a directory, specify objects in
the directory.
-- If it is not a directory, specify the directory that contains the
object.
My questions:
1. Can I not save the entire contents (including subdirectories) of a
drive share? Or do I need to define the share in Ops Nav before doing the
save?
2. What is the 'Session initialization error ...' all about?
