As for the QDSCJOBITV.  you are correct.  if a disconnected job is idle
for that amout of the time the job is cancelled.  I believe that you
actually see a message in the QSYSOPR message queue when that happens.

As for the QDEVRCYACN.  I "think" that the options DSCMSG and MSG allow
for your application to get the message and take the appropriate action,
ie. graceful shutdown of the application, ect.

but
if that means getting the recovery screen, it doesn't always appear to be
generated.)

QDSCJOBITV = 240 minutes. Does this mean the job stays disconnected for
that
length of time then dies?
