Congrats Rob ! So how long did access path rebuilds take ? I was telling a friend about this and he said they had problems with the power supplies in their 820-24 way (or is that 12 ? Can't remember). It has 3 and when one was replaced it crashed the system. When it came back up, it reported another was bad - i.e. misreporting... They were told this was a known problem and forget concurrent maintenance - the recommended path was powering down the system and replacing all of them at once... This is a multipart message in MIME format. -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] The 840 is up, kind of. Came back up around midnight:30 last night. The new AC module is working fine. We have a bad power supply still. Maybe we'll replace that this weekend. It's redundant. Evidently the spike from the 400 kicked off a little something on the UPS also. Just a simple reset of that particular item (didn't affect any other equipment - no additional downtime on our other iSeries, etc), and it's fine. Data seems fine. Some application record locks, but nothing OS related. Rob Berendt -- "They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety." IPL is still in progress. Storage Management didn't take too long. Context Rebuild has been running for over 57 minutes though. Had to replace an AC module. After that got replaced a power supply notified us that it was bad. In theory we can run without that power supply, it can be replaced concurrently, and it will be another 4 hours if they rush one in. We're going to run 'bareback'. They had this power supply on order to be drop shipped to us at 8am tomorrow anyway. So Dave will be back in 10 hours. He'll leave after the IPL completes and get's checked out. One of the towers has no lights on any of it's panels. It has no lights on any of it's power supplies. We had our electrician check the outlet. It is good. We called software.
