That was my reason for asking for clarification.  The impact and momentum of
the Internet, forces every vendor to associate their product with the "Web",
which often leads to a misunderstanding of a product's underlying
architecture.

There seems to be a lot of functional overlap between:

(a).  5250 and HTML (both offer a syntax for formatting text).

(b).  Telnet and the HTTP Servers (both offer a host
        connection to a client).

(c).  The NewLook Client and Internet Explorer (both provide
       a graphical user interface and something of a scripting engine
       for application extension).

And to one degree or another, these technologies seem to compete with one
another.

Which, in the case of NewLook (if I understand correctly), involves a
repository of definitions, rules, filters, macros, and so forth.  Is the
repository a relational database?  A stream file?  Is it normally stored on
the host, or installed on the workstation?
