RECONFIGURED Residency Announcement:

AS-2611

Domino R5.x and Domino 6 Coexistence on iSeries with LPAR

Benefits to Resident:

Participating residents will have the unique opportunity to gain early
hands-on experiences
with Domino 6 as well as running multiple versions of Domino servers in
separate partitions
using LPAR on iSeries.

In addition, you will enjoy the unique chance to work alongside some of
the
field's top
experts and the developers responsible for the creation of some of today's
most cutting
edge server technology. You will also be able to network with other
experts
working on
concurrent residencies.

This Rochester residency begins 14 Oct 2002,
ends 22 Nov 2002 (6 weeks), and requires 3 residents.

Nominations are open to qualified Customer, Business Partner and IBM
technical specialists and are to be submitted online on the Web by 18 Sep
2002.
The selection date is 23 Sep 2002.

Description:

The main theme of this residency is running multiple versions of Domino on
a single
iSeries machine with LPAR. The redbook to be produced by this residency
will include
the following topics:

 - Intro to LPAR on iSeries
 - Benefits of LPAR for Domino users
 - Planning and Setting up LPAR for Multiple Domino
 - Operations Tips and Techniques


Objectives:

This residency is to produce the following deliverables:

 * Redbook: "Domino R5.x and Domino 6 Coexistence on iSeries with LPAR"
 * ITSO Forum presentation based on the redbook contents
 * (Optionally) ITSO Forum hands-on lab or demo based on the redbook
contents
