I ran the following script in iSeries Navigator:

Select cmpsts

group by cmpsts;

Is this one of those CCSID things? If so, then how do I correct that from
within an iSeries SQL script?
Rob,

I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure. Look for a system ODBC datasource
named QDSN_machine-name (where, of course, machine name is the system name
of your AS400). Edit it (configure button). Go to the translation tab and
check the "convert binary (CCSID 65535) to text" checkbox.
