We've been using Sterling GENTRAN for bisync dial-up bank file transfers
for years.  We already had GENTRAN for EDI, and discovering it already
had all the pieces and parts for basic bisync communication was a nice
surprise.

If we were to move our bank transfer stuff to another AS/400 we wouldn't
want to license GENTRAN for this little communications piece.  Could
someone recommend an affordable AS/400 product that automates
line/controller/device setup, as well as dialup, file transfer, and
communications error recovery? This is probably all we'd ever do, so I
don't need a suite.
