It's still happening! midrange-l-admin@m idrange.com 10/07/2002 07:30 PM Please respond to midrange-l Hello there everybody - Yup. I could not believe it either but a buddy of mine called me yesterday telling me about a client in Chicago who just converted from prehistoric mode to modern day architecture. Went to release 5.1 from 2 something. Wonder if there are any 38's still operating? Wait...don't answer that! Anyway...a couple of mysteries we cannot get a handle on... 1. An RPG program is now blowing up at *entry with "reference to unpassed parameter"...a program which ran consistently for more than 5 years without an abend! There is a #PARMS statement checking the pass so how could this conversion have suddenly caused this blow-up? 2. object authorities. they could not run a crtdupobj...authority problem. When checking the object, *PUBLIC was *change. WHen he changed that to *ALL, it worked. There was, again, no problem prior to the conversion. I do not know if they ran RSTAUT. Any assistance, as always, would be greatly appreciated here. Thanx much.
