Is that because you can tell what it does from the name?  I prefer names
that are meaningful and allow you to tell what the program does.  I use a 2
letter prefix and then a meaningful name such as LNWRKLIN for Work with
Lineups in the LN system.  Much better than LN025!  I do append a D or R for
display files or printer files so they are named similar to the program they
go with.  But all program names are meaningful and do not specify what
language they may be written in.
