Steve There's some stuff at www.partner400.com, by Jon Paris - good stuff. There's supposed to be an autostart server that can get through a firewall. Is there firewall protection at the as400 site? They might need to open up port 4200, I think. Do you have a router on your end, with NAT or something or other? You can manually start the server on the 400 with the STRCODE command. Of course, you need to have installed WDS, Workstation base Are you using WDT, or WDSC? In either case, get the latest service pack, as suggested. At 12:58 PM 10/11/02 -0400, you wrote:
ok, I am giving code400 a try and am getting nowhere. I am w2k, v5r1, connect to the as400 via dsl/vpn. After adding the as400 as a server I click the ptf's button and code400 just sits there. In another panel I attempt to retrieve the library list from the as400 and again a long period of nothing followed by a code400 application crash. Does a server have to be running on the as400? Is there an initial install step by step document from ibm? thanks, Steve Richter
