All of the information that you want is found in the program status data structure... define a PSDS in your trigger-handling program and retrieve the User name and Job number from their respective fields in order to populate these values in your file... Job Name is in positions 244 - 253 User ID is in positions 254 - 263 Job Number is in positions 264 - 269 (numeric w/0 decimal positions) ----- Original Message ----- From: "Taylor, Mark W" <MarkWTaylor@eaton.com> To: <midrange-l@midrange.com> Sent: Monday, October 14, 2002 8:55 AM Subject: Re: What file contains records of active jobs? Rob, We are using the Mapics ERP system. One of the Mapics programs (I don't have the source so I can't modify the program or file) is writting the job name to the file. There are however extra fields in the file that I can "perv*rt" to add the user name once I figure out how to get to it. I have no problem using a trigger program to populate the field - I just need to know how to get to the user ID.
