         Thanks for all the help, but I _did_ read the second level (maybe I
should have mentioned that).  What I was asking for was if there are "other"
areas not mentioned in the second level text that I need to be concerned
with when I remove an entry.  I guess it's a matter of lack of trust that
the message actually contains _all_ relevant information about what happens
when an entry is removed.

Did you look at second-level text for the message you received? It has all
the answers you want. Even instructions on what to do if you actually do
want to delete the *LOCAL entry. In short, that entry is where CHGDDMTCPA
info is kept.

F1 is my best friend, next to F4 and F9 (and sometimes F14).   (I actually
do have a little bit of a life!)
