Interesting point.

I used a simple OS/2 Rexx app to good advantage, back in early 90's, but
Rexx just didn't seem to get the enhancements that other languages were
getting, so didn't persue Rexx heavily.

Chicken-and-egg problem of gaining:  traction in marketspace/developer
mindshare...?
