Since v5r1, at least, there's been an SNTP client on the 400. You start it
in OpsNav. It depends on the proper settings of QTIME and QUTCOFFSET.
There's been a similar client available since c. 1998, IIRC, through
ConsultLine, for about $400 / enterprise license. There are some questions
about the relationship of this to the system clock versius the software
clock used by the Unix-type APIs. See some previous posts on the list.

If you're going this far why not allow the Operating System to call home for
a correct time?  OS/2 did that long ago.
