>> I am trying to install the WebSphere development tools on an XP Home edition box. I am signed on with my name and I have administrative authority to the box. I get an error message stating that I have to be logged on as a system administrator to install the tools. I have administrative authority. What could be the problem? The most likely cause is that you are trying to install the "old" (V4R5 otherwise known as WDT/400) version of the tools. The current WDSc does not experience this. This is a copy of the notes posted by IBM to cure the problem. Once you have completed this and sacrificed a chicken or two on top of the CPU all should be well. Hope it works for you. 1. Set/create the registry key. [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\IBM\WDT400\Transient] "InstallSrcpath"="G:" Replace "G:" with where the source you install from(your CD drive letter). 2. Run install\msisetup.exe (in CD1) 3. Run install\bin\v51setup.exe (in CD1) Jon Paris Partner400
