In general, however, I got a lot of "what happened" and very litte "why". Let's be honest, I'm no SQL expert. On the other hand, I like to think I'm a relatively bright guy; I've managed to learn most other languages and tools without too much trouble. Then again, maybe that's the problem. I have problems with SQL because I just don't get it <grin>. Actually, that's not true. I get the syntax, I understand how to do it, I just don't understand the inner workings and sometimes unexpectedly bad things happen, and that's not acceptable to me as part of the toolset for designing a mission-critical application. Anywho, 'nuff said. The horse we've been beating has long since gone on to sing in the Celestial Choir. Joe
