This is a multipart message in MIME format. -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] We had a major iSeries software vendor scheduled to speak at our users group. He called a week or two before the meeting and cancelled. Said that the vendor was getting out of the iSeries market. We were shocked. This tool vendor has been in the iSeries market for quite a long time. Today I got a spam mail from the company pushing their tools - and how they are going to make the iSeries better. I replied back, how, and relayed the story. I quickly got a phone call saying that person no longer works there, quit, and evidently decided to go out in a blaze of glory by defaming the company. They offered to send a speaker at any meeting we had open. I had almost posted this on this list prior to this clarification. Just posting this in case you've had contact with this person and have heard that a major tool vendor is leaving the iSeries. Double check your sources.
