Extol has iSeries and PC based versions.  They are very good at handling FTP
scripts and are supposedly on the cutting edge of XML (if you believe their
sales people)!  I have no experience with their PC version, but with my old
shop converting to SAP they were starting to look at that.

I don't think this will be an issue this year at least.  the only vendors
who are clamoring for edi at the moment want strait ftp edi.  the vendor's
i've dealt with so far are not the most technically savvy, and most are
just small to medium sized regional fresh produce or niche product
suppliers.

Maybe I should narrow my criteria - an iseries only package wouldn't be
worth the cost for the number of partners who want it at this time, and it
sounds like the pickings there are getting slim anyway.

Does anyone have experience using pc based edi translators?  any
recommendations (pro or con)?
