Here is a V5R1 and V5R2 problem that the system will fix in a future release. When the system is IPLed, or comes out of restricted state, it is possible to log the message CPF9E1F in QSYSOPR. The message indicates a license management problem with product 5722XW1, license term V5R1M0, feature 5101, even though all of the licensing is valid for the product. Until that time, you can get extra messages in QSYSOPR, or execute the following commands: RMVPJE SBSD(QCMN) PGM(QZSCSRVR) RMVPJE SBSD(QBASE) PGM(QZSCSRVR) If message CPD1434 is received when running one of the above commands, the prestart job is currently active, and an ENDPJ command must be used to first end the active prestart job. IBM does not intend to fix this problem in these releases, as the above workaround exists. Error Description ******* (Do NOT alter/erase this or next 3 lines) ******* * EQUIVALENT ABSTRACT: OSP GETTING MSGCPF9E1F WHEN SYSTEM IPLS OR COMES OUT OF RESTRICTED STATE_ When the system is IPLed, or comes out of restricted state, it is possible to log MSGCPF9E1F RC1 in QSYSOPR. The message indicates a license management problem with product 5722XW1, license term V5R1M0, feature 5101, even though all of the licensing is valid for the product. Problem Summary When the system is IPLed, or comes out of restricted state, it is possible to log MSGCPF9E1F RC1 in QSYSOPR. The message indicates a license management problem with product 5722XW1, license term V5R1M0, feature 5101, even though all of the licensing is valid for the product. ** If this problem continues to occur on OS/400 releases after V5R1, remove the prestart job entry for QZSCSRVR from either the QCMN or QBASE subsystem description. QZSCSRVR is an APPC prestart job that is not supported on releases after V5R1. The commands to remove the prestart job entries are as follows: RMVPJE SBSD(QCMN) PGM(QZSCSRVR) RMVPJE SBSD(QBASE) PGM(QZSCSRVR) If message CPD1434 is received when running one of the above commands, the prestart job is currently active, and an ENDPJ command must be used to first end the active prestart job. Problem Conclusion Temporary Fix Comments The Central Server will be changed to request a license using the correct format, this will eliminate the MSGCPF9E1F in the QSYSOPR message log. Circumvention None. This is an informational message that should be ignored for the current release. No loss of functionality occurs.
