Vern, The Iseries-Toolkit is an open source project on source forge http://sourceforge.net/. Search for iseries-toolkit. The site seems to be down right now, drat! Most of the work has been done by David Morris. There are a few others of us who have contributed smaller pieces. Since getting involved I've actually gotten most of the programmers in our shop using APIs, and not just the easy ones either. One of the usually less adventurous guys actually asked me to help him prototype the atoi function (halelueia!). It's worth a look, just to see the techniques.
