Vern, This of course depends on the association of the file extension and the Textpad application. If you wanted to name the application (Excel for example), save some typing and try something like this. STRPCCMD PCCMD('Start EXCEL.EXE "\\192.168.1.3\root\home\vern\data1.txt"') Otherwise, you must specify the path to the application, which may not be constant on all installations.
