Depending on the system, you might be able to get away by just using a
CD /Directory1/Directory2 and this will set the NAMEFMT to 1 automatically.

You need to use NAMEFMT 1 to transfer in or out of IFS. If the 400 is your
       client, execute the NAMEFMT 1 subcommand. If 400 is your server,
       execute
       QUOTE SITE NAMEFMT 1.


Then you can use path names instead of lib/obj style.


As far as maintaining record lengths, are they delimited? Is the
       destination supposed to be physical files or PC-type files (CSV,
       e.g.)?
       What is the destination system?


You might need the BINARY subcommand to keep things from being converted
       (if that's what you want).
