I've restrained myself from this flame war but I finally have caved in. In watching the OS/2 newsgroups during the Great Holy Wars of the mid 90s it became clear that there was a whole group of Microsoft groupies known as trolls that would enter the OS/2 newsgroups with no other purpose than to spread FUD (fear, uncertainty, and doubt). These trolls never had facts to share nor any understanding of the underlying purpose of the newsgroup nor any courtesy for those that liked and supported OS/2. Their only entertainment seemed to be the flaming and bashing of the people and of OS/2 Absolute falsehood was their coin. When I see clearly wrong statements like "And of course any discussion always leads back to the FACT that Microsoft runs their business on AS/400s. ." I realize the Microsoft trolls are back on their keyboards and starting another Holy War. Konrad, please return to your World of X-Box and use your trolling and flame-baiting to attack the Penquins. James, Newbie? :) Woo da hoooooooooooooooooooo! Obviously the iSeries is the solution to all that ails the world. Good luck with your clients. The nebulous terms such as quality, reliability, best that surround most of the discussion on the list are troubling since they are never backed up by anything approaching a fact or anything approaching an open frame of mind. And of course any discussion always leads back to the FACT that Microsoft runs their business on AS/400s... Not to mention the endless Microsoft bashing for no good reason. I do agree with you on one thing, the best measure of a computer is the value it adds to a companies bottom line or what works works. Everyone have a wonderful holiday season! I promise not to inflict any of my non-fact based radical opinions on anyone anymore. You may whine on in peace, playing to the already converted crowd. Bye folks! Regards Konrad
